為了爭取季後賽門票，洋基隊也是拚了！洋基隊今天再戰光芒隊，靠著老將「鐵爺」Mark Teixeira單場3支2表現，包含4局下的滿貫彈，洋基隊最終以7:5贏球，一舉搶下6連勝。
36歲的Teixeira，今年打完就要脫下戰袍引退，本季因傷所苦影響表現，但Teixeira打擊火力依舊，尤其是適時一擊的能力完全沒變。
洋基隊今天推出Michael Pineda先發，他投4.2局被打6支安打失2分無關勝敗。
洋基隊首局就靠Rob Refsnyder二壘安打先馳得點，3局下Gary Sanchez開轟，Teixeira靠暴投再得分。
光芒隊苦苦追趕，Logan Morrison、Steven Souza Jr.「背靠背」全壘打。
Teixeira在2人出局，滿壘狀況，從Kevin Jepsen手中，擊出一發右外野滿貫轟，順利決定戰局。

紐約洋基隊日籍投手「神之子」田中將大今天先發出戰光芒隊，他主投7.1局，被打5支安打，10次三振，1失分，拿下本季第13勝，追平自己生涯最佳成績，洋基隊最終以5:1獲勝，拿下7連勝。

強颱「莫蘭蒂」侵襲東台灣商場百貨，昨（十四）日鳳林分局各分駐（派出）所持續注意轄區道路狀況，並利用道路、派出所、學校、廟宇跑馬燈將道路最新訊息傳達給民眾，提醒民眾颱風期間注意安全，減少外出。
公路總局第四區養工處花蓮工務段因應「莫蘭蒂」颱風，為考量用路人行車安全，昨日十一時全面封閉光豐公路。另瑞穗鄉公所考量花六十四線瑞港公路在颱風期間可能影響用路人行車安全，昨日上午八時十分實施預警性封閉，管制人車進出。萬榮鄉西寶溪溪水暴漲（見圖），萬榮鄉公所在昨日上午十時三十分預警性封閉溪寶大橋。瑞穗鄉秀姑巒溪因颱風豪雨，致台十一線長虹橋溪水暴漲，這些道路交通相關資訊，鳳林分局透過轄區派出所、學校、廟宇等多處利用跑馬燈將道路狀況傳達給民眾，籲請民眾颱風期間注意安全，減少外出，並遵守相關規定，人車可通行時，仍需注意安全。
鳳林分局提醒駕駛人注意道路狀況，遵守交通法規，減速慢行，更不可酒後駕車，颱風天平安最安。
